Mount Humphreys--Regular Route, from North Lake
(Dayhike; 17 hour durration)

1 Sep 2012 - by David Husted

This was my biggest climb to date. It's also my longest dayhike--17 hours. The view at the top is incredible--wide-open views like you wouldn't believe. The hardest part of the climb is the last 200ft; some serious class 4 with a lot of exposure depending on how you angle your way to the summit. I'd highly recommend a rope for a rappel down this section unless you're a confident climber who can climb down this without needing a helicopter rescue like a few have had to have over the years.
