I like mountaneering in conjunction with backpacking and the outdoors:
California backpacking and mountaineering.(100 plus SPS peaks)
Easy/moderate snow climbing, e.g. Vinson, Aspiring.
Straightforward high-altitude, e.g. Cotopaxi, Ojos del Salado.
Wilderness rock to 5.7 or so, e.g.Whitney East Buttress, Charlotte Dome, though I am out of practice.

I like north Chile: the Cordillera Occidental and the Puna. My "fifteen minutes of fame" are in the 2002 AAJ on page 328.
