My wife and I got into hike-in camping a couple years ago, which led to rock climbing after some steep and bouldery treks in Anza-Borrego and Mojave. I have about a dozen 5.6-5.8 trad leads under my belt at this point. We're getting into mountaineering so we can put it all together and get back to hiking/camping while not giving up the fun rigging and gear stuff. I've climbed a little in Tuolumne, June Lake, and Lee Vining, but we're definitely Sierra and snow rookies.
I can climb most weekends and holidays. I can add a day or two onto a weekend trip with enough notice.
I'm hoping to tag along on some entry-level and intermediate outings and generally get involved with the mountaineering clubs around here.
